Religion Favorite VR Mech Game 'Vox Machinae' Plans Single Player Campaign for 2022

Initially delivered in 2018, Vox Machinae is a jewel of a VR mech game that is very much cherished by those that have played it. However the title looked bound to stay zeroed in on multiplayer, the engineer today made the unexpected declaration that it intends to deliver a completely included single player crusade this year.

Vox Machinae has a celebrated history tracing all the way back to no less than 2014 when the game was first saw, a long time before the approach of movement regulators as the standard method for input for VR content and almost two years before the primary fastened customer VR headsets even hit the market. In spite of its initial entry into the VR scene, non mainstream backing, and extended improvement period, Vox Machinae resisted the chances and figured out how to advance toward an early access send off in 2018. Indeed, even in 2022, the game stands as one of the most incredible VR mech sims accessible today.

Notwithstanding, from the beginning the game has been (naturally) restricted to a multiplayer in scope. And keeping in mind that it's fun, there's bounty who have ached for an account experience on which to take the game's bulky mechs-in spite of that sort of venture being admirably unworkable for designer Space Bullet Corp, the little non mainstream studio behind the game. Or on the other hand so it appeared.

It turns out the studio has been discreetly working away on only that-a solitary player crusade for Vox Machinae-which it hopes to send off this year as a free update to the base game. The update will match with the 1.0 form of the game which will deliver it once again from early access after such a long time.

Space Bullet Corp shows it has a genuinely aggressive degree for the venture which it says will incorporate a full cast of voiced characters, a story traversing various planets, a unique soundtrack, and then some.

Even in 2022, the game stands as one of the best VR mech sims available today.

However, from the outset the game has been (understandably) limited to a multiplayer in scope.

while it’s fun, there’s plenty who have craved a narrative adventure on which to take the game’s hulking mechs—despite that kind of project being well outside the realm of possibility for developer Space Bullet Corp, the tiny indie studio behind the game

Or so it seemed.

It turns out the studio has been quietly toiling away on just that—a single player campaign for Vox Machinae—which it expects to launch this year as a free update to the base game.

The update will coincide with the 1.0 version of the game which will bring it out of early access after all these years.

Space Bullet Corp indicates it has a fairly ambitious scope for the project which it says will include a full cast of voiced characters, a story spanning multiple planets, an original soundtrack, and more.

There isn’t a trailer yet, but the studio shared some short teasers with us so far, including a mech ‘launch’ sequence and what appears to be an absolutely massive carrier-like mech platform which players will presumably encounter in the campaign.

A full single player campaign seems so ambitious for the tiny studio that I asked how on Earth they’re managing to pull it off.

There isn't a trailer yet, however the studio imparted a few short secrets to us up to this point, including a mech 'send off' grouping and what seems, by all accounts, to be a totally enormous transporter like mech stage which players will probably experience in the mission.

A full single player crusade appears to be so aggressive for the little studio that I asked how in the world they're figuring out how to pull it off.

Space Bullet Corp fellow benefactor Jakub Czeszejko-Sochacki let me know that the studio comprised of a group of only three full-time engineers at the early access send off of the game in 2018. As they've started chipping away at the single player crusade they've inclined up to six full-time engineers with three extra workers for hire. Also they've purportedly been chipping away at the task for over two years now.

That is still a seriously little group to pull off a full single player crusade, however the studio has effectively shown the ability to punch well over its weight class, so they've absolutely stood out enough to be noticed.

Space Bullet Corp says it hopes to send off Vox Machinae 1.0 with the single player crusade at some point this year, yet hasn't given a more explicit delivery date yet. The early access rendition of the game is presently accessible on Oculus PC and Steam (counting non-VR support); when I inquired as to whether the studio had any designs to carry the game to Quest or PSVR, I was told-in an apparently prodding way-it would "have one more declaration to make soon to address these sorts of inquiries."
